Solar hot water heating conversion valve (scv)
The solar hot water
conversion valve also known as
"solar transfervalve" is an innovative solar diversion
valve,designed to allow existing hot water cylinders
to be converted into solar storage
tanks,therefore
eliminating the need to purchase a new cylinder.
The solar hot water conversion valve fits into the
inlet/drain port thus
allowing TO SOLAR/SOLAR RETURN
as well as retaining the original function of the port.
Hot water from the solar collector is delivered to the
cylinder while drawing off the coldest water to return
to the collector.
This well designed valve will convert virtually any
hot
water cylinder into a fully functional solar storage tank.
Our own tests on a two port cylinder in
summer
produced in excess of 6% saving on
our total electric
bill.(just by fitting this valve)
